Straightedge Direct Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Declan Power, doing business as Straightedge Direct ("Straightedge Direct," "we," "us"), based in Thousand Oaks, California, collects, uses, and shares personal information.
Straightedge Direct generates enquiries from homeowners who want roofing and other home services, and connects those enquiries with independent, licensed contractors ("Partners"). This policy covers two groups:
- Business clients: roofing and home service companies who contact us about buying leads.
- Homeowners: people who request a quote or information through our ads, forms, or websites.
By submitting a form or otherwise providing your information, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
| Who | What we collect | How we get it |
|---|---|---|
| Business clients | Name, email, phone number, company name, service area, monthly job volume, current lead sources, and anything you tell us on calls or in messages | Lead forms on Facebook and Instagram, our booking page, calls, texts, and emails |
| Homeowners | Name, phone number, email, property address or ZIP code, homeowner status, the service needed, project details, timeline, and form answers | Lead forms on Facebook and Instagram, our websites and landing pages, calls, and texts |
| Everyone who visits our pages | IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, ad clicks, and similar usage data | Cookies, the Meta Pixel, and similar tools (see Section 6) |
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information. Please do not send it to us.
3. How we use information
Business clients. We use your information to:
- Contact you about lead availability in your area
- Schedule and hold calls
- Deliver leads, send invoices, and manage our working relationship
- Send service updates and occasional offers (you can opt out anytime)
Homeowners. We use your information to:
- Confirm your request and ask a few qualifying questions
- Connect you with a contractor who serves your area
- Follow up to make sure you were contacted
Everyone. We also use information to run and improve our ads and websites, measure results, prevent fraud and spam, keep records, and meet legal obligations.
4. How we share information
Homeowner requests go to contractors, and they pay us for them. When you request a quote, we share your contact details and project information with a contractor who serves your area. That contractor pays us a fee for the referral. Under some state laws, including California's, this may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. See Section 8 for how to opt out.
Contractors are independent businesses. Once they receive your information, their own privacy policy governs how they use it.
Service providers. We use these tools to run our business, and they process information on our behalf:
| Provider | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| GoHighLevel | CRM, contact records, calls, texts, and emails |
| Zapier | Moves form submissions between our systems |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Ads, lead forms, and the Meta Pixel |
| Calendly | Booking calls |
| Google (Calendar and Workspace) | Scheduling, email, and file storage |
Other cases. We may share information to comply with the law or a legal request, to protect our rights or anyone's safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
What we don't do. We don't sell or share business clients' information with other lead buyers or third parties for their own marketing.
5. Calls, texts, and emails
If you give us your phone number, you agree that Straightedge Direct, and for homeowners the contractor matched to your request, may contact you by phone call and text message at that number about your request. This may include messages sent with automated technology. Your consent is not a condition of buying anything.
- Stop texts: reply STOP at any time. Reply HELP for help.
- Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Stop calls: tell us on the call, or email us.
Message and data rates may apply. How often we message depends on your request. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing, apart from the contractor matched to your request as described in Section 4.
6. Cookies, the Meta Pixel, and tracking
Our websites and landing pages use cookies, the Meta Pixel, and similar tools. They help us see which ads work, measure form submissions, and show our ads to people likely to need our services. Meta may combine this data with information it already holds about you, under Meta's Privacy Policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can control the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta ad preferences. Some features may not work properly if you block cookies.
7. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep personal information for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. We keep it longer only when we need to for billing, tax, legal, or dispute purposes. After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
We protect information with access controls, strong passwords, and two-factor authentication on the accounts we use. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. Email straightedgedirect@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."
California residents. Depending on your situation, California law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) may give you the right to:

- Get a copy of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including our referral of homeowner requests to contractors
- Not be treated differently for using these rights
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. To opt out, email straightedgedirect@gmail.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." If you opt out before we pass on your request, we will not send it to a contractor, which means we can't connect you with one. We also honor browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where required.
We will confirm your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first. You can use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
